Damn, this girl has some SERIOUS pipes!

I mean, I can't help it, I'm obsessed. I don't want to be but I just am! Adele just HAS IT, she's the bomb.com and the girl is 22. Enjoy her second single from her upcoming album, 22 (named for her age at the time it was made her first album was 19 also for her age, and this is another reason why I like her)

Plus this is LIVE and in her house, crazy cool

Pavlovian Response

I just had the craziest pavlovian response. I have spent my morning watching trailers, reading about movie news, and learning that good ole Ebert tapped some 24 year old blogger to write/introduce for his show (news I am instinctively jealous of). The odd pavlovian response came when I was watching the trailer for Scream 4, I TOTALLY smelled popcorn! The good movie theater kind that you can't stop eating and I instantly wanted some. When I became aware of what happened I realized it was happening every time I watched a trailer I liked and wanted to see! Weird? Ok, maybe, but also really telling. The trailers I was only so-so about did not elicit the same response from me because I don't find them entertaining. But take Scream 4, that flick is a prime example of classic cinema entertainment! Its hookie, and gorey, and dumb, and does nothing but satisfy male cravings but damn it, Scream is hella entertaining! I can't wait for the new Wes Craven installment and that is really REALLY saying something as I loath horror movies. I am to much of a weenie to like scary movies so thats even more points for Wes! Here's the trailer for those of you who are curious:

PLUS: I mean COME ON! Sookie Stackhouse AND Veronica Mars cameo, you seriously cant beat that!

Here are some other trailers that are awesome/bad:

Green Lantern =BAD I love you Ryan Renalds, you're a bad ass and this was an undertaking but this trailer does this movie NO justice. I wanted to see this thing since I first heard it was being made but after the trailer, I am really disappointed. BIG TIME! ...and Blake Lively, just UGH

Green Hornet ="...Meh" Still not great, but I'll watch it.

AND THE BEST FOR LAST:
Cowboys and Aliens =AWESOME. Judge me if you will but if you have seen the trailer (and the cast) then you know what I'm talking about! This movie looks AWESOME, totally and utterly ridiculous but sheer awesomeness! I cannot wait to see this movie. It is a popcorn bucket movie and its gonna ROCK. First of all, its a Western, can't beat that, Second its a movie about Aliens, sweet, and Third, Daniel Craig/Harrison Ford kick some serious ass! "I want that man. You give him to me now... or I'm gonna take him." AHHHH its just cool. I think Favreau got this one right, he has found his niche and should really stay there. (PLUS, Ron Howard and Steven Speilberg producing) Now, I really could be wrong about this one. It has potential to really crash and burn, but the point here is not the movie itself, its the quality of the trailer and whether it makes me want to actually watch and this one got me from the TITLE let alone the actual trailer. I'm there, done and done!

resolute = GMST

Ah, yes its the new year. I was going to say I have a good feeling about 2011 but then I remembered thats exactly what I said about 2010... hmmm, Probably not a good sign but good feeling nontheless. As per tradition, I have been thinking about new years resolutions. I NEVER keep them, like everyone else in the world, but I have been wondering what would be some that I could keep. Small, seemingly insignificant things that would be easy to change on a short term basis. I was going to list three easy things to do and three big goal resolutions but mainly there is just one, all encompassing resolution that needs to happen regardless of what time of year it is:
GET MY SHIT TOGETHER!

I mean come on, isn't that what a resolution actually is? A detailed list of your flaws and what you need to do to fix them. Well, I have decided to forgo the means and just skip straight to end. I just need to get my shit together (GMST). My list would contain things like: eat better, work out more consistently, become more financially sound, GET A BETTER JOB. The latter is a huge one, one of which will be the jumping off point for the GMST year! 2010 had its ups and downs, mostly ups honestly, but the downs were a big kick in ass. I want 2011 to be a more even keel year. I'm not asking for a crazy awesome, super fantastic year. Nay, nay. I am only asking for a mediocre year. And no I don't set my bar too high, at this point I am hoping for the bar to be low enough I can step, serenely over it. I'll do a slight hop but that is it, I'm drawing the line there! Dismal look on the year you might ask? No, not at all, not in the least. I look at it like I am keeping my sights in the appropriate place and if things get better than I will be appropriately enthusiastic about it! Im excited about the year of GMST! This can only end well. I nice dose of perspective is all I need!
